INTRODUCTION TO THE INSANGU DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION INITIATIVE

a. It is our pleasure to approach government and municipalities in seeking assistance with securing the perfect partner/s for the Insangu Development Corporation initiative.

b. While many are focusing on large scale Commercial Cannabis Cultivation which does not empower vulnerable communities, The Insangu Development Corporation is focusing on establishing black small to medium scale growers, black owned social
Cannabis Clubs (targeted at all Taverns…), as well as black owned Insangu Regional Hubs in all areas.

c. It is the honour of the founders of the CannaClub, it’s management Committee members and many of our members, in collaboration with its partners to present The Insangu Development Corporation Initiative, which we have developed over the past 3 years. We believe it is a fully comprehensive and viable model, as based on our existing CannaClub experience, operations and facilities; which is fully aligned with the ‘National Cannabis Master Plan’ – in fact this pilot project may greatly enrich both
the Government’s knowledge and experience with the aim to enhance the future models of the Master Plan.

d. The CannaClub is the oldest Encod based private social Cannabis Club in S.A. that we are aware of. The CannaClub is blessed to have more than 1000 members at present.

e. As a non-profit organisation it is not the aim of The CannaClub to generate any profit from our future collaboration.

f. A Cannabis Social Club is a concept of the pan-European, non-government organisation ENCOD (European Coalition for Just and Effective Drug Policies https://encod.org/our-mission/ ), conceived in 2005 as a way to enable legal production and distribution of Cannabis for adults. Cannabis Social Clubs facilitate the professional, collective cultivation of limited amounts of Cannabis - just enough to cover the personal needs of their club members.

g. These places differ from Cannabis coffee shops in that those openly sell cannabis, while social clubs are not selling cannabis, and are only accessible to members. Generally clubs grow on behalf of members who in turn reimburses the club for the plant management fees if satisfied with the produce as according to the club’s constitution. Today Cannabis Social Clubs can be found in New Zealand, Spain (where more than 200 cannabis clubs exist in the area of Barcelona alone,) Belgium, France, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, United States…… and it is gaining momentum all over SA and Africa.

h. Our great interest lies in the educational, medicinal and scientific dimensions of this miraculous plant, and especially in its economic transformation & empowering possibilities.
